How proposals are decided

  1. Submitted. You get a reference, such as UGP-P-0012-7F3A9C, and a public tracking page showing its status.
  2. Triage, within 10 business days: in review, needs information, or out of scope.
  3. Quarterly review. All proposals in review are decided together, once a quarter.
  4. Decision published, with reasons, in the decisions log.
  5. Release, as a MINOR or MAJOR version, announced at least 30 days before it takes effect. §18.2

Some things are settled and are not reopened except for errors: the grade structure, the rule that a grade needs a resale-ready device, the separation of grade and status, and the 80% battery rule. §19.4
