“Graded to UGP” mark
The “Graded to UGP” mark shows that a listing, price sheet or invoice uses UGP. It always names the version, conformance level and verification tier.
The "Graded to UGP" mark shows that a listing, a price sheet or an invoice uses UGP. Anyone may display the steward's published mark next to grades that meet the claim format, without asking. §17.5
Three forms
| Form | Use | Reads |
|---|---|---|
| Full mark | Product pages, price-sheet headers, websites | Graded to UGP v1.0 · UGP-Full · V0 Declared · devicegrading.com |
| Compact | Listing cards | UGP v1.0 |
| Text only | Invoices, packing slips, emails | Graded to UGP v1.0 · UGP-Full · V0 Declared |
The compact form needs the full claim to be reachable from it, for example on the product page it links to. §13.3
Rules
- The mark always names the version. The full and text forms also name the conformance level and verification tier you actually meet. §13.3
- Do not add ®: the UGP names are unregistered marks, and ® would misstate that. The steward may use ™ next to the name; nobody is required to. §17.5
- Do not change the artwork or the words, and do not combine the mark with your own logo in a way that suggests the steward endorses you.
- The mark says how a device was graded. It does not say the steward inspected, certified or endorses the device, the seller or the product.
“UGP Verified” is different
"UGP Verified" and its badge are reserved for devices inspected under the steward's certification programme (V2) and for graders and facilities the steward has approved. The programme rules and a public registry will be published separately; until then, no one uses "UGP Verified". See UGP Verified. §13.5
