R2v3

PDF

Where each UGP grade lands in the SERI R2v3 equipment categories.

Maps to, not endorsed. UGP maps to the SERI R2v3 Equipment Categorization, an informative reference of UGP. SERI has not endorsed this mapping, and grading to UGP is not R2 certification.

Reading the table

Every UGP grade from Like New to Acceptable maps to the same functional code, because every UGP grade is fully functional; only the cosmetic code changes. Devices with a status of Repair or Parts map to the lower categories and never to a UGP grade.

An R2-certified facility that grades to UGP still keeps its R2 records. UGP adds the grade, the status and the core code on top; it does not replace a facility's certification duties.

Data sanitisation

UGP's data axis follows NIST SP 800-88 Rev. 2 and IEEE 2883, and records the method, tool, revision and certificate ID. A grade needs data sanitised and verified, or sanitised and declared. §10.1
