What every grade guarantees7
- Fully functional
- No cracks anywhere
- No triggered liquid indicator
- Battery 80% or more
- No account or management lock
- Data wiped
- Not reported lost or stolen
What qualifies
- The device is in its manufacturer's retail packaging, with the factory seal intact.
- It has never been refurbished, resealed or issued as a warranty replacement.
- It still needs a lost/stolen check or the seller's declaration that it is not reported lost or stolen; where the box shows an IMEI or serial number, it can be checked without opening. A device reported lost or stolen is Prohibited, sealed or not. §9.3
What is recorded
A sealed device cannot be inspected, so its record says so instead of guessing:
| Axis | Value | Meaning |
|---|---|---|
| Cosmetic | S | New, factory sealed, not inspected |
| Functional | FX | Not tested |
| Battery | NA | Not applicable (sealed) |
| Locks, data, parts | N | Not applicable (sealed) |
These values do not stop the grade: the status rules exempt sealed devices from the "not tested" and data checks. The core code still carries every axis:
U1UGP version · UGP version 1 §18.2- PHNDevice class · Phone §16- CSCosmetic · New, factory sealed (not inspected) §5.3- FXFunctional · Not tested §7.3- BNABattery · Not applicable (no battery, or sealed) §8- LNAccount and management locks · Not applicable (sealed) §9.1- RUCarrier lock · Unlocked §9.2- DNData · Not applicable (sealed) §10.1- PNParts · Not applicable (sealed new) §10.2- KFKit · Full: every required component, original §10.4
Disclosures
A carrier lock, when the device is locked, is shown with the grade, naming the carrier. Non-genuine parts are never permitted in New Sealed. §9.2 · §10.2.3
